Variable Beam Expanders

Variable beam expanders are ideal for systems where different magnifications and precise control of laser beam divergence are required.

Altechna offers variable beam expanders with high pointing stability and high LIDT AR coatings that minimize ghost reflections. Our variable beam expanders allow individual magnification and divergence adjustment. Once the desired beam size and divergence are reached, the position can be locked with two sets of screws.

The design is compact and suitable for an industrial environment. Individual reports of beam ellipticity, M2, and pointing stability parameters can be provided on request. Depending on the customer’s system design, mounting adapters at the center, input, and output are available on request.
